As an Associate / Vice President in the Equities APAC Internet and China Technology Specialist Sales team, you will maintain and develop key investor client relationships - by delivering timely & insightful market updates, sector research views, and trade ideas. You will partner closely with research, sales, trading, and syndicate - to help expand the reach and impact of our APAC TMT franchise.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver timely insights & updates on APAC Internet & China Tech sectors, integrate and present research highlights, and formulate actionable trade ideas
Build and deepen relationships with institutional investors focused on APAC Internet and China Technology sectors
Collaborate with trading, research, and syndicate to provide comprehensive client solutions and market color
Prepare and present client materials, and help to develop and deliver corporate access agendas
Coordinate investor interactions around IPOs, follow‑ons, block trades, and corporate access events
Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams. Contribute to a collaborative culture and support team initiatives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in equities sales, research or buy-side.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology or a related discipline
Strong understanding of APAC Internet and China Technology sectors fundamentals
Ability to generate/deliver thoughtful sector‑specific market commentary & intelligence
Work closely with research & supplement with own views/thoughts on key market debates
Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to support China Technology coverage
Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident engaging senior stakeholders
High degree of numeracy; proficient with market tools + Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to work effectively across trading & research in a fast‑paced environment
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
Due recognition will be given to professional qualifications attained from reputable training institutes or professional bodies in Hong Kong
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience in the Hong Kong market and familiarity with regional investor dynamics
Professional credentials (e.g. CFA) are a plus
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; adaptable to changing market conditions
Experience coordinating corporate access and investor marketing campaigns
